Republicans are afraid of losing, so they're cheating. We've seen redistricting battles play out across the country, and now the fight is coming to North Carolina. We need people to show up outside the General Assembly on Tuesday. A seat in the U.S. House of Representatives is on the line.

Last month it was reported that Trump was pressuring Senate Leader Phil Berger to draw new maps favorable to congressional Republicans in exchange for a political favor. Now Berger has agreed to hold votes in their October session to redraw North Carolina’s congressional map.

We are gathering to send the GOP a message: North Carolinians are watching, and we’re not backing down.

Welcome to North Carolina's
4th Congressional District Democrats
North Carolina's 4th congressional district, located in the central region of the state, includes all of Durham and Orange counties as well as northern Chatham County and a portion of Wake County. With a Cook Partisan Voting Index rating of D+23 in 2025, it is one of the most Democratic districts in North Carolina.

Our Vision
As Democrats, we envision a community where all people are safe, secure, and valued and where all people have living wages, protection of individual liberties, equal rights, strong public education, affordable and quality health care, fair elections, and clean air and water.

Congresswoman Valerie Foushee represents NC-CD4. Elected to Congress in November 2022, she is the first African American and first woman to represent the district. She serves on the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, where she is ranking member of the Subcommittee on Space and Aeronautics. Her Democratic colleagues also elected her to the leadership position of regional whip.

Rep. Foushee is a native of Chapel Hill, N.C., and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She formerly served as a member of the Chapel Hill-Carrboro School Board and the Orange County Board of Commissioners before being elected to the N.C. General Assembly as a state representative for District 50 and then as a state senator representing District 23.
